New Plant Manufacturers Support OPERC Publications (14/03/2004)
As many members know, a non-profit making association does struggle to produce good quality educational materials because these cost not only in terms of production and writing but also dissemination activities once produced. So it is vitally important that sufficient funds are available to cover these core activities.
During the past few weeks, two new plant manufacturers have offered their sponsorship of OPERC's new training materials to support our on-line health and safety test. This in additional to previous support from Finning (UK) Ltd, Caterpillar and JCB. The dealership Marubeni Komatsu have kindly paid for the publication costs of our new 'Safetynet' test brochure and Volvo Construction Equipment have offered to pay for the cost of the Safetynet distance learning package which will be available to all members shortly.
Finning (UK) Ltd have also given their support for a new publication which will provide practical guidance on lubricant analysis. This in addition to previous support given to other OPERC publications and events.
It is comforting to know that these manufacturers are prepared to invest into the future of the off-highway plant and equipment industry. We thank them for their support and encouragement.
