A-Plant wins another RoSPA/Severn Trent Gold Award

A-Plant is once again celebrating winning one of the prestigious Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) and Severn Trent Water Occupational Health and Safety Awards in 2010. Awarded to A-Plant for the second year running, this accolade provides another element and dimension to A-Plantís unique attitude towards safety. A-Plantís Gold Award was judged and awarded as a result of:

  • Excellent occupational health and safety management systems
  • A rigorous approach to occupational health
  • High levels of compliance with control measures
  • Below average and reducing rates of error, harm and loss
  • No fatal or major injuries

At A-Plant, Health and Safety Management is a primary focus, covering both the companyís workforce and the customers who use the companyís products. To complement robust internal practices, the company has an ongoing programme aimed at educating customers in the ramifications of new Health and Safety legislation and how to meet the latest operational guidelines from the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).

A-Plant offers a comprehensive fleet of safety products, which forms part of what is believed to be the best hire service in Europe. The ongoing investment in the A-Plant fleet ensures that customers can always hire equipment which meets or exceeds the required safety standards.

The Gold Award was presented at a ceremony at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham. The RoSPA/STW Awards have been developed specifically for Severn Trent Water contractors, to recognise and improve health and safety performance and demonstrate commitment to this important issue.

A-Plant was also awarded the RoSPA Gold Award earlier this year as a result of the companyís continued efforts in occupational health and safety.
