At Hillhead 2010, JCB will showcase a vast range of models from its heavyline range of equipment for the quarrying, demolition and recycling industries - both on the stand and in the JCB demonstration area.
Included in the static display are two flagship models - the quarry specification JCB 456 wheeled loading shovel with L5 tyres, chevrons and a camera for added on-site safety alongside the latest JCB JS360 tracked excavator with rock bucket and unique handrail.
During the exhibition, a selection of tailor-made demolition and waste handling models will perform application-specific roles in the JCB demonstration area.
Performing recycling and waste handling duties are the JS200 Materials Handler Wastemaster and 456 Wastemaster wheeled loading shovel. Both form part of the extensive JCB Wastemaster range, in which each machine incorporates a high-specification waste environment package as standard, including cab filtration, air-conditioning, wide-core radiators, light guards and under-body protection. For the arduous demolition environment, the JS260XD (Extra-Duty) features strengthened boom and dippers, rugged undercarriage guarding and covers, side rail protection systems and FOPS cab guards. Furthermore, a JS360 tracked excavator will be utilising a pulveriser attachment while a JS220 will be seen powering the accurate and productive RW100 JCB Rockwheel hydraulic cutter attachment.
JCB’s excavator models are built at the £40million state-of-the-art factory in Staffordshire and their quality construction allows the firm to offer a two-year warranty across the range. JCB has also become the first UK manufacturer to be awarded 3-star Thatcham accreditation for its security measures on excavators, enabling customers to receive a 45 per cent reduction on premiums from JCB Insurance.
Additional purpose-built products for the sector include: articulated dump trucks, wheeled and tracked excavators, compaction equipment, lighting towers, skid steer loaders, generators and the LiveLink telematics system.
