OPERC-Safetynet Test Fees Reduced

OPERC-Safetynet Test Fees Reduced to 15 (01/03/05)

Following a recent surge in the number of members using the OPERC-Safetynet test system, OPERC's Executive Members have decided to reduce the cost of OPERC-Safetynet to a mere 15 per test (reduced from 20 previously).

Mr Barry Robinson, OPERC Chief Examiner said "OPERC exists for the benefit of all industry and it is our [OPERC's] mission to drive down costs, reduce administration and continuously improve quality - OPERC-Safetynet achieves these objectives and more".

The good news does not however end here as a new Management Information System (MIS) has recently been launched that allows users to access pertinent information on individual candidate's test history. Maintaining such information is essential and is a prerequisite requirement for those who subscribe to OPERC's Voluntary Code of Practice for Operator Training. The MIS will tie directly into the new life long learning zone which will be launched at the HSE, London, on the 18th March 2005.
