JCB has doubled its standard warranty period on the full range of compact excavators, to two years or 2,000 operating hours. The revised warranty covers all 15 models, built after October 1, 2009, from the 950kg Micro 8008 to the powerful 8.2 tonne 8080 ZTS midi.
As a company that works to support its customers in all industries and to pass on the benefits of continual investment in its state-of-the-art production facilities, this change in warranty terms reflects the unparalleled quality standards that are being achieved at JCB’s compact equipment plant.
From laser profile cutting of sheet steel at the start of the process, through computer numerically controlled plate bending, automated welding and a market-leading powder paint process, JCB’s compact equipment facilities continue to provide machinery that is ready to perform. UV leak and steam vapour lance detection, along with the final JCB seal of approval prior to shipping, ensure that every machine achieves the highest levels of availability and utilisation for the customer.
With six dedicated assembly lines producing 35 machine variations, JCB’s continuous quality control methods ensure that every micro, mini and midi excavator leaves the plant in first class order. By offering a two year/2,000 hour warranty as standard, double that of many competitive machines, JCB is placing total confidence in the high quality levels achieved by its dedicated UK workforce.
The warranty excludes batteries and standard consumables such as ground engaging parts. Customers will also be required to show that machines have been maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
