Well into the second year of a five-year framework agreement between the two companies, A-Plant’s preferred supplier contract with VINCI PLC has grown into one of the most diverse in the company’s portfolio.
The VINCI PLC contract covers the entire range of hire products from A-Plant, including general plant, tools and specialist products, such as accommodation, falsework and formwork, powered access, power generation and welding equipment. A-Plant offers a one-stop solution for rental equipment, with the widest and most comprehensive range of plant, tools and specialist equipment available on the market.
A major part of the A-Plant contract is concerned with the contracting activities of VINCI PLC which have been consolidated within VINCI Construction UK Limited, combining Taylor Woodrow’s leading market position in key growth sectors of the industry with the regionalised building and civil engineering network of Norwest Holst.
A-Plant’s Chief Executive Officer, Sat Dhaiwal, said: “We have had a deal in place with Norwest Holst Ltd for well over 20 years which is testament to the strength of the relationship between the two companies. With the acquisition of Taylor Woodrow, we are delighted to have an expanded involvement with VINCI PLC.”
The combination of businesses at VINCI PLC allows the Group to offer a comprehensive construction package from inception, through ground investigation and remediation, to completion of the project and beyond to the maintenance of the facility. VINCI PLC achieved a turnover of £1.02 billion in 2008 and forms part of VINCI, the world’s leading concession and construction group. VINCI has a global turnover of €33.5 billion and 164,000 employees in 90 countries around the world.
