JCB Power Products is entering the portable lighting tower market with a new nine-metre model.
The JCB LT9 is a dedicated lighting tower featuring a nine-metre hydraulically activated, telescopic mast which holds four spotlights - each delivering 1000 watts and 90,000 lumens – giving a total output of 360,000 lumens.
Mounted on an integrated chassis and with compact dimensions, the LT9 is highly transportable - making it ideal for rental fleets. It will provide temporary, portable light to a vast range of applications within road construction, rail construction and the events and agricultural sectors.
Richard Butler, Director & General Manager of JCB Power Products, said: “Entry into the lighting tower sector is a natural extension for JCB Power Products. Lighting towers and generators are clearly complementary, both in terms of their typical applications and their popularity with rental customers. JCB has built strong links and an excellent reputation within the hire sector and has established unrivalled distribution and service networks to serve its customers. With the addition of the LT9 to our range we are now able to provide them with another core rental product which they regularly require.”
The LT9 is a fully bunded unit controlled by the JCB KS1 control panel. Powered by a 3 cylinder, water cooled, Yanmar engine and with a 100L tank, it will run, uninterrupted for 68 hours. The unit also features four stabilisers to enable maximum performance on uneven ground.
The LT9 is simple and quick to use, with the mast – which is activated via a button on the side of the model - fully erecting in 13 seconds. It can rotate 360° to provide excellent lighting capability to all areas of a site.
The unit is fully homologated for highway use and to further improve manoeuvrability it also features fork lift pockets and a single-point lift eye as standard. Available globally, these new lighting tower products will be sold and supported through JCB’s extensive worldwide network of dealers.
