May Gurney has signed a two-year £4m preferred supplier agreement with Speedy. Speedy will provide a comprehensive package of tools and equipment to the infrastructure services company, including tools, generators, pumps, lifting gear, surveying equipment and temporary site accommodation.

“We have a broad and diverse set of needs and Speedy is able to offer us a single point of contact from which to source a comprehensive range of equipment.
“Speedy’s environmental and sustainability initiatives were also an important factor as we are committed to promoting best practice in this area.”
Richard Stirland, national accounts manager at Speedy said: “With Speedy staff working within May Gurney’s plant hire desk, we can offer superior management information, including electronic invoicing, for the company’s nationwide hire needs.
“In addition to this, our national coverage, broad product range and availability of equipment will ensure a high level of service.”
May Gurney is an infrastructure services company working in the public and regulated sectors delivering sustainable improvements to front-line services across the UK. This latest preferred supplier deal for Speedy follows a series of large-scale agreements secured over the last few months with the likes of Interserve, The Environment Agency and Southern Electric Contracting.
