Speedy – the UK’s largest equipment and support services provider - has been awarded a preferred supplier agreement with the Environment Agency.

Under the agreement, Speedy will provide tools and equipment across the Environment Agency’s network of depots including safety, survey and lifting gear.

Heidi Carr, procurement officer at the Environment Agency said: “This is the first time we’ve put a national agreement in place for tool and equipment hire and we were impressed with Speedy’s excellent environmental and health and safety credentials.”

Paul Spooner, national account manager at Speedy said: “With a comprehensive product portfolio and nationwide depot footprint, we’re ideally placed to meet the broad and diverse needs of the Environment Agency’s regional depots.”

The Environment Agency is the leading public body for protecting and improving the environment in England and Wales. Set up under the Environment Act 1995, it now has 13,000 employees and a budget of £1 billion.
