Rocket Rentals of Dursley in Gloucestershire has decided to equip its entire fleet of mini and midi excavators with the recently launched fully automatic hydraulic quick coupling system developed by MARTIN of Braz in Austria.
Commenting on this decision, Rocket Rental's managing director Simon Tomblin said: "MARTIN equipment is extremely well designed and built and we are confident that the new fully automatic units will be very well accepted by our customers. We have certainly not experienced any problems whatsoever with the company's previous versions we have been using over the past couple of years."
The design of quick hitches in general has been somewhat of a grey area in recent months but MARTIN has gained a great deal of experience, having been at the forefront of both attachment and coupling system development for over 10 years. In addition, the company has listened closely to hirers such as Rocket Rentals in order to develop systems that meet the very latest UK health and safety requirements.
Launched in the UK at the recent SED, the new system not only provides the required rapid change of attachment to maintain high levels of productivity, without the operator having to leave the cab, but also maximum reliability and safety on site. This has been made possible by features such as a visual locking catch, pilot-operated check valve and a 'C-Jaw' with a positive retaining function. ....more
Ever since it was founded in 2003, Rocket Rentals has always concentrated on hiring top-end and innovative equipment in order to keep one step ahead of the competition and this formulae is now proving to be highly successful as the company reports impressive levels of utilisation - typically in excess of 80%.
"We are not the cheapest", comments Mr. Tomblin, "but we do go that extra mile in order to provide a total support package and we are confident that our decision to fit the new MARTIN couplers will be well received by our many loyal customers."
