LRD Plant Hire Ltd, based at Morrilow Heath near Stoke on Trent, has added another EC210C excavator to their increasing fleet of Volvo Construction Equipment products.
Established back in 1997 by Proprietor Lindsey Dickin, the Company has evolved as a plant hire and groundworks contractor covering Central England. Undertaking a variety of projects the Company specialises in the forming and construction of playing fields and hard court surfaces for local authorities and sports facilities. Having purchased their first Volvo in 2005, Mr Dickin has increased his fleet of Volvo excavators with the arrival of a new EC210C. "We have enjoyed a good experience since our first purchase from Volvo in terms of product reliability and after sales service," he said. "The machines are well built and user friendly both for the operator and the service engineer alike."
Volvo C series excavators are powered by Volvo Tier III low-emission engines which contribute to an excellent performance and are well matched to the machine's hydraulics providing high efficiency, rapid dig cycles and low fuel consumption. The EC210C is installed with a 6 litre engine developing 150 nett hp. An advanced mode control system ensures the maximum possible hydraulic horsepower available is delivered at a constant engine speed under varying load conditions. In addition, boom and arm geometry provide highly competitive digging forces and lifting capacities, which makes for faster work cycles. Hose rupture valves are fitted as standard to the boom and dipper cylinders as are quick fit hydraulics and a hammer/shear service. LRD Plant Hire has also installed a 'Spectra precision Laser' system to the machine to assist on site levelling when forming sports pitches etc.
