HAVTEC News May 2006 (20/05/06)
Since its launch in March 2006, the OPERC HAVTEC Register has received overwhelming support and interest from industry and government bodies alike.
The first batch of data loaded onto the HAVTEC Register contained vibration information for only a handful of power tools manufactured by Hilti, MacDonald and Hiretech. However, many more tools have now been loaded onto the Register including those manufactured by Makita, Heller, DeWalt, JCB, Partner, Trutek, Standall and Belle. Recent tests have added the names of SPE, Toolpak and Dronco to this list of reputable manufacturers and this new data will be loaded onto the HAVTEC register shortly.
Registered users will also be pleased to read that a NEW Resources link has been launched within the Register. This new link gives you FREE access to download the OPERC professional publication entitled 'A Guide to Hand-arm Vibration', the recent OPERC HAVTEC advert and a NEW OPERC lifelong learning module on HAV (this latter will be available shortly). The other vibration resources we currently have available are also detailed - including the NEW OPERC DVD 'An Introduction to Hand-arm Vibration'. A further publication 'A Manager's Guide to Hand-arm Vibration' is due to be published shortly and again this resource will be available to download free of charge.
