Position: Company Health and Safety Advisor
Company: Shepherd Construction is a privately owned national construction company with a turnover over £400m.
Description: Shepherd Construction Ltd is looking for a Company Health and Safety Advisor to cover the North West Region in providing safety support and advice to sites.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting the Health and Safety department in raising Health and Safety standards.
Setting standards as required by current Health and Safety legislation and promote grassroots understanding by the impact of the construction programme on Health and Safety.
Assisting in delivery of the MCG Safety Strategy.
Assessment of the impact of the construction programme of Health and Safety.
Anticipation within the construction programme those activities which will require Risk Assessment and Safety Method Statements.
Investigation of site accidents/ incidents in accordance to Company Policy and Procedure.
Attend monthly site safety planning meetings.
Qualifications Required:A current NEBOSH Construction Certificate and/ord diploma). Minimum of a grade C in GCSE English, Maths and Science or equivalent resulting in a high standard of written and verbal English. Demonstrable interest in safety is essential.
