A-Plant Offers New £500,000 Fleet Of Eco Units To Help Customers Lower Carbon Footprint
To meet increasing demand from customers looking to reduce their carbon footprints, A-Plant is now offering for hire a fleet of new Eco Accommodation Units from Thurston Building Systems worth over £500,000. One of A-Plant's customers specifying the Eco Unit is Norwest Holst and A-Plant is responsible for a major installation of Eco Accommodation systems on the Norwest Holst contract at Lancaster University.
Norwest Holst has pioneered the use of these Thurston Eco cabins in the construction industry and is aiming to use the system on several other major projects. A-Plant is also in discussions with a number of other large contractors concerning major installations around the UK.
The Eco unit offers a unique combination of technologies resulting in a very environmentally friendly portable accommodation system that will help Norwest Holst and other A-Plant customers to make an impact on their carbon footprints.
With insulation that exceeds building regulations, the Eco unit has a number of other special features that reduce energy use and prevent wastage of resources. These include passive infra-red lights (PIR), double glazing, low energy fluorescent lighting and taps and urinals with passive, on-demand flushing and water to wash hand basins.
A-Plant runs one of the largest Accommodation fleets in the UK, numbering well over 16,000 units, available nationally from 13 A-Plant Accommodation depots around the country.
A-Plant's Accommodation fleet covers the complete range from modular buildings, anti-vandal units and fire-rated units to serviceloos, security stores and mobile units to serve and solve the needs of both the construction and industrial markets. Modular buildings offer an economical alternative to traditional buildings with much reduced timescales and portable anti-vandal units provide instant accommodation solutions, without compromising on quality or comfort.
Mobile units are ideal for businesses on the move and combine the features of static units with the flexibility to travel freely. Serviceloos offer instant hygienic toilet facilities with the benefit of weekly maintenance and complement a range of event hire units, specifically designed for the leisure industry.
A-Plant, which has some 30,000 customers in the construction and industrial markets, has recently launched one of its most important customer service initiatives ever, the new A-Plant Guarantee. The first of its kind in the industry, the A-Plant Guarantee provides customers with guaranteed service levels with regard to Delivery, Service, Availability and Out-of-Hours Response. If A-Plant does not fulfil these service levels, the customer is offered a free hire or free delivery of a range of guaranteed stock items.
