Bigger Is Not Always Better!!

Not with the new 18 volt nano range from DEWALT

JAN 08 – DEWALT – The market leader in the production of professional power tools is set to kick the competition into touch with the launch of its new 18volt Nano Technology machines, giving it the most comprehensive Pro-Lithium Ion cordless range. The incorporation of it’s tried and tested nano battery technology into the 18 volt range offers the same outstanding performance with a 40% reduction in battery weight.

The benefits of this battery technology come from its Nano Phosphate Lithium Ion Formula, developed exclusively for DEWALT. Being specifically developed for the intense current draw found in today’s power tools, DEWALT can offer a market leading 2000 charge cycles, offering superior battery life and therefore increased value to the end user. Furthermore, these batteries have no issues with memory effect and also suffer from minimal self discharge, offering today’s power tool user a truly superior battery system.

The good news for the end user is that with this groundbreaking new technology, the batteries are backwards compatible with the majority of the older 18 volt machines. This gives the user access to over 30 existing tools! No need to worry about charging either, as the new nano charger will charge the majority of older 18v NiCD and NIMH batteries in only 40 minutes.

DEWALT are complimenting the launch of this new technology with the introduction of 2 new innovative compact machines. The DC727KL and DC722KL compact drill drivers will offer the user smaller, lighter, more powerful drill drivers! These benefit from the use of the DEWALT frameless motor, offering greater power for less weight, as well as increasing the durability of the motor by increasing airflow and allowing for longer brushes. On top of this, the proven Rohm full metal chuck provides excellent grip and durability throughout a wide range of applications, and there are integrated lights for increased visibility in challenging worksite conditions. The DC722N will be offered as a bare unit version, so users with older batteries can also take advantage of this exceptional drill driver.
